A Message from the Maitre D’
Read Our Newsletter . . . Please?
We at The French Room and The Adolphus are producing a new monthly eNewsletter.
Because we want you to like it, to be apart of it, and to look forward to it, we will also invite you to convey what YOU would like to see in our eNewsletter.
First off, it’s not going to be boring. It’s going to be informative, interesting, fun and rewarding. What’s going to be in it, you ask?
- NEWS about Special Offers. Every issue will have an incentive: exclusive French Room offers, as well as guest room and package deals only available at The Adolphus.
- NEWS about Food. Executive Chef Jason Weaver loves to mix it up with fresh and somewhat unusual ingredients. If he’s excited about something, we think you will be, too.
- NEWS about Wine. Our sommelier Greg Cheval will tell you about great wines on our menu and those you can buy locally. No one makes it easier to understand – and he’ll give you the low down on how much you should expect to spend.
- Just plain NEWS. Whatever it is. If it has to do with The French Room or The Adolphus, and it’s noteworthy, you’ll know first.
More Stuff:
- Staff Spotlights. We’re blessed with a handful of dedicated people who’ve been with the restaurant for 20 years or more. Several have been profiled on WFAA-TV Channel 8, D Magazine and The Dallas Morning News. We’ll tell you a little more about them.
- Stories. Maitre d’ Jim Donohue has been with the restaurant since 1985 and has pretty much seen it all. He’ll share some of his more colorful memories.
- Contests: Las Vegas and Monte Carlo don’t have a monopoly on them, right?
- Q&A. Who doesn’t have a question about food or wine? We’ve got the experts with the answers. They’ll email you right back, and if it’s something other readers might like to know, we’ll print it and give you credit (then you’ll sue us, and we’ll have to stop the presses).

As Al Jolson said in the Jazz Singer, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Check it out for a few months. See what you think – and let’s make this the first interactive newsletter that people actually read and enjoy.
See you next month…
